Stick and stitch" is a method of embroidery where a self-adhesive, water-soluble pattern is applied to fabric, and then embroidered over, before the pattern is washed away, leaving behind the embroidery. This technique is favoured for its ease and versatility, allowing for quick and simple embroidery projects.
How it works:
- Prepare the design: Choose a stick and stitch pattern for the set.
- Apply to fabric: Peel off the backing of the pattern and stick it onto your fabric.
- Embroidery: Embroider over the pattern using any thread preferred, DMC, Anchor any you favour
- Remove the pattern: Soak the embroidered fabric in water to dissolve the stick and stitch paper, leaving behind your beautiful hand-stitched creation.
